Joan M. Scripkunas, 86, of Jenkins Twp. passed away on Saturday, March 27, 2021 at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital, Wilkes-Barre. Born in Duryea on March 15, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Eva (Klink) Dominick.
Joan was a graduate of Duryea High School. She retired from Topps Chewing gum, Duryea after many years of employment.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Scripkunas, who died March 20, 1990; her brothers Andrew and Charles Dominick; and sisters Josephine Klimek and Helen Litwak; and granddaughter Nicole Santey, who died August 24, 1994.
Joan is survived by her daughter, Maryann and her husband,d Joseph Santey, with whom she resided; her son Joseph, of Exeter; grandchildren Kristen Santey and Robert Santey and his wife Laura; and Joseph Scripkunas; her two great grandsons Cullen and Noah Sompel; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.
