Frank Mruk

Frank Mruk, 72, of Moosic, passed away on Thursday, December 28th at the Geisinger Wyoming Valley Hospital, Wilkes-Barre. He was born in Avoca, June 5, 1945 and was the son of the late Stanley and Lottie (Brezak) Mruk.

Frank was a member of the Langcliffe Presbyterian Church, Avoca. He was a graduate of Avoca High School. After high school, he joined the Pennsylvania Army National Guard and served during the Vietnam War. Frank retired from RCA with over 20 years of employment.

In addition to his parents, Frank is preceded in death by his brother, Stanley Mruk.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, the former Caroline (Craig) Mruk; his daughter, Lori Mruk of Avoca; son, Ron and his wife, Nicole Mruk of Exeter; sister, Dorothy Ricciardella of Peckville; grandchildren Sidney and Troy Davis, Corey, Drew, and Josh Mruk; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 4th at 10:30 am at Kiesinger Funeral Services Inc., 255 McAlpine St., Duryea with Rev. Alex Becker of the Langcliffe Presbyterian Church, Avoca officiating. Friends may call on Wednesday evening, January 3rd from 5-8 pm. Interment will be held at the Langcliffe Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1101 Hill St., Jessup, PA or to the American Lung Association, 2300 Adams Ave., Scranton, PA 18501.
