Anthony “Tony” Singer


Anthony “Tony” Singer, 38, of Avoca, died Friday, January 8th at his home. He was born in Avoca, May 18th, 1977 and was the son of Thomas and Mary Ellen (Rincavage) Singer.

Tony was a member of Nativity of Our Lord Parish. He attended St. Mary’s Parochial School and Pittston Area High School. Tony was a master auto mechanic. He worked many years for MotorWorld, Wilkes-Barre, employed as a Certified Master Mechanic in the manufacturing departments of Honda, Acura, and Mercedes-Benz. Tony went on to become a self-employed auto mechanic and business owner for By-Pass Auto, Dupont until time of its closing, and was last employed at Lokuta’s Garage, Pittston Twp. He was a loving son, father, brother, and friend and he will be deeply missed. He is now at peace in the loving arms of God.

He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Anthony and Helen Rincavage.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his identical twin sons, Anthony and Matthew; his brother, Thomas and his wife, Jill Singer of Archbald; his nephew, Thomas Singer and nieces, Rachel Singer and Kirsten Burnham. Also surviving are his former spouse, Stacey Mastruzzo Singer and her daughter, Gabriella Kotyk; his aunt and uncle, Anthony and Barbara Rincavage; and aunt and uncle, Joan and Charles Galinas; as well as several cousins and his former in-laws, Samuel Mastruzzo and Sue LaMarca.

A mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, January 12th at 11:00am at Nativity of Our Lord Parish, 127 Stephenson St., Duryea with Fr. John Polednak officiating. Friends may call on Tuesday, January 12th at the Church from 10:00am until time of Mass. Interment will be held at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Duryea.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Anthony and Matthew Singer Educational Fund in care of Jill Singer at NBT Bank, 36 Public Ave., Montrose, PA 18801.

Arrangements are made by Kiesinger Funeral Services Inc., 255 McAlpine St., Duryea.
