Grace Kemler


Grace Kemler, of Duryea, passed away on Tuesday, February 2nd at the Riverside Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Taylor. She was born in Mount Zion, PA and was the daughter of the late Archibald and Jenny (Wheeler) Quick.

Grace was a member of the Brick United Methodist Church, Duryea. She attended Avoca Schools. Grace worked in the local garment industry for most of her life and retired from Brackney Leather Works, Wyoming. She was a social member of the Dupont VFW and the Dupont Polish Club. Grace was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend and she will be deeply missed.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Kemler who died in 1981; her brothers, Willis, Kenneth, Arnold, Ernest, and Albert.

Grace is survived by her daughters, Linda Wruble and her husband Chet of Duryea and Pam Littzi of Avoca. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Eric and his wife Allison Wruble, Cyndi and her husband Mark Valeski, Aly and her husband Jim Carver, Kristin Littzi, and Amanda Littzi; great-grandchildren Katie, Zach, Chase, Carey, Kendyll, Alivia, and Addison; her sister Jane Jones of Georgia; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 4th at 7:30pm at Kiesinger Funeral Services Inc., 255 McAlpine St., Duryea with Rev. Michael Shambora of the Bradley Memorial United Methodist Church officiating. Friends may call on Thursday evening, February 4th from 5pm until time of service. Interment will take place at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Brick United Methodist Church 935 Foote Ave., Duryea, PA 18642.
