Henrietta Snopkowski Kudasik


Henrietta Snopkowski Kudasik, 106, of Queens NY, formerly of Avoca, passed away on Tuesday, February 9th at Bellevue VNS Hospice, NY, NY. She was born in Avoca, October 25th, 1909 and was the daughter of the late John and Victoria (Wiktorya) Snopkowski.

Henrietta was a member of SS Peter and Paul Church (Queen Of The Apostles, Parish) Avoca. She attended Avoca Schools. Henrietta worked in the local garment industry for many years before relocating to Woodside, NY in the 1940’s. She retired from the Bulova Watch Company, New York City. Henrietta was very active with St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Woodside, NY.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Walter Kudasik; her son, Walter “Wally” Jr.; daughters, Eleanor and Barbara Kudasik; and her siblings, Stasia O’Hop, Anna Dolan, Stanley Snopkowski, Edward Snopkowski (Norby), Joseph Snopkowski, Mary Snopkowski, Michael Snopkowski (Mickey), Helen Bartnicki, and Bernard Snopkowski (Bernie).

She is survived by her granddaughter, Darlene and her husband, Brian Daugherty; great-grandsons, James and Chris Daugherty; grea-great- granddaughters, Elizabeth and Roxy Daugherty; her nephew, Robert and his wife, Elaine Dolan and also many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 13th at 12:30pm from Kiesinger Funeral Services Inc., 255 McAlpine St., Duryea with a mass of Christian burial at 1:00pm at Queen Of The Apostles Church, Hawthorne St., Avoca with Fr. Phillip Sladicka officiating. Friends may call on Friday evening, February 12th from 5-8pm. Interment will be held at SS Peter and Paul Cemetery, Avoca.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Queen Of The Apostles Parish, 715 Hawthorne St., Avoca, PA 18641.
