Leonard J. Milewski, 75, of Springbrook Twp., formerly of Dupont, died unexpectedly on Sunday, March 6th at Geisinger CMC Hospital, Scranton. He was born in Dupont, May 5th, 1940, the son of Margaret (Ziobro) Milewski and the late Anthony Milewski.

Leonard was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Dupont. He attended Sacred Heart School, Dupont and St. John’s High School, Pittston. He was employed in the local garment industry. He worked in construction and at the Tobyhanna Army Depot, from where he retired. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, enjoying his time with his Uncle Ted.
In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his wife, Marlene (Yarema), who died in 2014 and his brother Richard, who died in 2015.
In addition to his mother Margaret, he is survived by his sisters; Dorothy (Emmanuel) Ziobro, Dolores (Anthony) Caltagirone, Diane (Frank) Skrzysowski, and his brother Eugene (Ann Marie) Milewski, all of Dupont; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews and great-great-nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 10th at 9:30am from Kiesinger Funeral Services Inc., 255 McAlpine St., Duryea with a mass of Christian burial at 10:00am at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Lackawanna Ave., Dupont with Fr. Joseph Verespy officiating. Friends may call on Wednesday, March 9th from 5-8pm. Interment will be held at the Cathedral Cemetery, Scranton.
