Richard Kuchinski Jr.


Richard Kuchinski Jr., 30, of Dupont, passed away Thursday, March 17th at the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital, Wilkes-Barre. He was born in Dupont October 3rd 1985 and was the son of Richard Kuchinski and Denise (Ferretti) Kuchinski.

Richard was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Dupont, a 2004 graduate of Pittston Area High School and Wilkes-Barre Vo-Tech (plumbing). Rich worked for Skoda Pluming, Valley Air Conditioning, and most recently for Nature’s Way, Suscon. Rich was most proud of his involvement as a volunteer fire fighter for the Dupont Hose Company. He held that aspect of his life with much pride. He was a San Francisco 49ers fan and loved to hunt and fish. He enjoyed spending time at his cabin with family and friends. He will be deeply missed by all knew and loved him.

In addition to his parents he is survived by his son Colin Medeiros, of Scranton; his brother Paul Biesaideski Jr., of Dupont; his maternal grandfather, Anthony Ferretti Jr.; aunt Renee O’Donell; uncle Tony Ferretti and his wife Marie; and cousins TJ, Andrea, and Rylee and great-aunts and uncles.

Richard is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Dan and Theresa Kuchinski.

A mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, April 2nd at 11:00am at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 215 Lackawanna Ave., Dupont with Fr. Joseph Verespy officiating.

Friends may call for visitation from 10:00am until time of service. Arrangements are made by Kiesinger Funeral Services Inc., 255 McAlpine St., Duryea.
