Edward D. Slusser, 61, of Suscon, passed away Thursday, March 17th at the Celtic Hospice at Geisinger South, Wilkes-Barre. He was born in Pittston Twp., May 25, 1954 and was the son of the late Albert and Ann (Kopec) Slusser.
Edward was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Dupont. He was a 1972 graduate of Pittston Area High School. Edward was employed by Schott Optical, Duryea for over 41 years. He was an avid outdoorsmen, his passion was hunting and fishing and he enjoyed traveling to different states with his sons to hunt and fish. He was a loving husband, father, and friend and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Edward is survived by his wife of 24 years Donna (Wruble) Slusser and his sons Justin, of Avoca and Kenny of Suscon. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, March 21st at 10:00am at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 215 Lackawanna Ave., Dupont with Fr. Joseph Verespy officiating. Friends may call on Sunday evening, March 20th, from 5-8pm at Kiesinger Funeral Services Inc., 255 McAlpine St., Duryea. Family and friends are asked to go directly to Sacred Heart Church on Monday morning. There will be no procession from the funeral home.
