Walter “Wally” Kurtz, 43, of Taylor, passed away on April 12th, 2016 at his home. He was born in Scranton May 17th, 1972 and was the son of Carolyn Banks and the late Walter G. Kurtz, Jr.

Wally was a 1991 graduate of Scranton Tech High School. He worked for various local establishments throughout our area and most recently was employed by the Waffle House of Clarks-Summit. Wally spent most of his time with his family and with his art work, he was a very talented artist working with all aspects in the field of art. He also enjoyed the outdoors. Walter was a loving son, brother, uncle, and friend and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
In addition to his mother Carolyn, Wally is survived by his siblings; Karl of Taylor, Gerald of West Pittston, and Caroline and her husband, Jim O’Malley of Duryea as well as many nieces and nephews.
A blessing service will be held on Saturday, April 16th at 10:00am at Kiesinger Funeral Services Inc., 255 McAlpine St., Duryea with Fr. Joseph Verespy of Sacred Heart Of Jesus Church, Dupont officiating. Friends may call for visitation on Saturday, April 16th from 9:00am until time of service.
