Frank Kristula, 77, of Avoca, passed away on Monday, May 16 at his home. He was born in Dupont, August 9th, 1938 and was the son of the late Frank and Julia (Jover) Kristula.
Frank was a member of Holy Mother Of Sorrows Polish National Church, Dupont. He was a graduate of Dupont High School. After high school, he joined the US Army National Guard and served for many years. He worked for over 30 years for Leslie Fay Co. until the time of its closing and he retired from Golden Technologies after 15 years of service. Frank was an avid fisherman and enjoyed fishing in Downesville, NY. He was a social member of the West Side Social Club, Avoca and the Dupont Polish Club, Dupont. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend and he will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, the former Rita (Rafferty) Kristula; his daughter, Kristin Burns Stoss of Avoca; his granddaughter, Autym Stoss of Avoca; and many nieces, nephews, brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws.
A blessing service will take place on Thursday, May 19th at 7:30pm at Kiesinger Funeral Services Inc., 255 McAlpine St., Duryea with Fr. Zbigniew Dawid of Holy Mother Of Sorrows Polish National Church, Dupont, officiating. Friends may call on Thursday evening, May 19th from 5:00pm until time of service.
