Dave Kody, of Suscon, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family Sunday, June 26, 2016 after a courageous 7 month battle with cancer.
Born January 20, 1956 in Dupont, he was the son of the late Frank and Clara Koteck. He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, the former Pamela Renfer, from Suscon and his daughter Jill, Dupont, whom he cherished deeply.
Also surviving, are his sister, Sophie Price from Dunmore and brother, Frank Koteck and his wife, Carol from Blooming Grove.
He attended Sacred Heart elementary school in Dupont and was a 1973 graduate of Pittston Area high school.
Dave was employed by Cascade Tissue for 34 years as a machine operator. He loved hunting, fishing, and gardening. Dave shared his kind heart and generosity with all who knew him. He will be greatly missed by all.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 30th at 9:30am from Kiesinger Funeral Services Inc., 255 McAlpine St., Duryea with a mass of Christian burial at 10:00am at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 215 Lackawanna Ave., Dupont. Friends may call of Wednesday evening, June 29th from 5-8pm. Interment will be held at Sacred Heart of Jesus Cemetery, Dupont.
