Nicholas John Lefcoski, 68, of Moosic, passed away on June 29th at the Regional Hospital, Scranton. A native of Scranton and a long-time resident of Dunmore, he was the son of Joseph Lefcoski and Madelyn DelRosso and the beloved older brother of Diane Honney and Joseph Lefcoski.
He delighted in and was loved by family and friends, including his niece and nephews, Kimberly Honney, Christopher Honney, Jonathan Lefcoski, Joseph Lefcoski and Stephan Lefcoski.
Nick was quick-witted and not one to let his emotions cloud critical thinking and facts regarding important issues of our time. Nick enjoyed sports, especially Penn State football, loved science fiction and crosswords, and enjoyed Astronomy immensely, as well as following politics and the New York Times. A graduate of Central High School, he earned a degree in Psychology from Penn State University and served the PA Department of Corrections for 28 years before retirement.
Private arrangements were held per Nick’s wishes. In accordance with generosity of spirit with which he lived his life, memorial contributions can be made to the United Way of Lackawanna, St. Joseph’s Center, or St. Francis Assisi Kitchen.
