Mary Helen Pramick


Mary Helen Pramick, age 88 of Exeter, formerly of Dupont, passed away peacefully at 12:21am on Monday, October 17, 2016 at home surrounded by family.

Her loving husband of 66 years is Joseph Pramick, they were united in marriage on February 6th, 1950.

Born in the Houston City section of Avoca on December 8, 1927; she was a daughter of the late Teofil and Stella (Stodolna) Marczewski.

Mary graduated from Avoca High School in 1945 and also graduated from Lackawanna Business College, Scranton as valedictorian. She then went on to work as a bookkeeper at Weinberg Furniture and then as a seamstress & floor lady at Lee Manufacturing in Pittston, PA.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by three brothers, John, Stanley and Frank Marczewski; and by three sisters, Veronica Winslow, Frances Chmielewski and Phyllis Golembeski.

In addition to her husband, Mary is survived by a son Michael D. Pramick and his wife Jacqueline, Pittston Township and a daughter Naomi Pizano, wife of Thomas, Exeter, PA; four grandchildren – Michelle Pramick and husband Sander Gottlieb; Jessica Pizano and husband Erik Vanston; Amanda Pramick and significant other Stephen Archer; and Melissa Pizano and husband Albert Dragg; one great-grandchild, Jonah Gottlieb with two additional great-grandchildren expected in the next two months; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday, October, 20th, 2016 at 9:30am in St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 35 William Street, Pittston, PA by Father Leo McKernan. Friends may call on Wednesday evening October 19th at Kiesinger Funeral Services Inc. 255 McAlpine St. Duryea from 5 to 8pm. Interment will be held at Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery, Carverton.
