Ronald F. “Butch” Pesotini


Ronald F. “Butch” Pesotini, 89, of Spring Brook Twp., formerly of Duryea, passed away on Tuesday, October 18th at his home. He was born in Duryea January 4th, 1927 and was the son of the late Harold Edsell and Frieda Pesotini.

Butch was a member of Nativity of Our Lord Parish (Holy Rosary Church), Duryea. He was a 1945 Graduate of Duryea High School. After high school, Ronald worked as a heavy equipment operator for many years. He then became well-versed in cabinetmaking. He was employed by Gleason Kitchens and he retired from Deitzer Kitchen Cabinet Company, Duryea. Butch served on Council for the Borough of Duryea in the 1970’s.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Berneice Piliero and his brothers-in-law, Daniel Piliero and Joseph Bartocci.

Butch is survived by his wife of 65 years, the former Clara Bartocci Pesotini; his sons, Ronald Jr. and his wife, Dawn of Duryea, Leonard and his wife, Debbie of West Pittston, and Dennis and his wife, Robin of East Stroudsburg. Also surviving are 9 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 22nd at 9:30am from Kiesinger Funeral Services Inc., 255 McAlpine St., Duryea with a mass of Christian burial at 10:00am at Nativity of Our Lord Parish Church (Holy Rosary Church), Stephenson St., Duryea. Friends may call on Friday evening, October 21st from 5-8pm. Interment will be held at the Marcy Cemetery, Duryea.
