Sidney W. Gray, 63, of Duryea, passed away on Sunday, October 23th peacefully and with dignity at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Hospital, Wilkes-Barre. Born in Old Forge on July25, 1953, he was the son of the late Wayne Vernon Gray Sr., and Verna Belles Gray.
Prior to retiring, he was a self-employed truck driver and mechanic. Sidney has been to many interesting places in his life, including Mt. St. Helens shortly after her eruption.
He enjoyed spending time with his family, hiking, boating and watching NASCAR, The Alaskan Frontier and playing his guitar.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers, Wayne Jr., Elwood, and Bruce as well as his sister, Edith Ann Coleman.
Sidney is survived by the love of his life of 41 years, Margaret Budnovitch Gray; his daughter, Melinda Strunk and her husband, Edward; and granddaughter, Caitlin, all of Duryea; brothers, Howard of Florida, Glenn and Brian, both of Old Forge, and a sister, Melva Brown of Scranton and many nieces and nephews.
Services will be private and held at convenience of the family.
