Frances (Franny) Scyrba, 92, of Dupont, passed away on Wednesday, January 18th at the Celtic Hospice Geisinger South, Wilkes-Barre. She was born in Dupont, May 18th, 1924 and was the daughter of the late Frank and Anna (Magda) Scyrba.
Frances was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Dupont. She attended Sacred Heart of Jesus schools. For many years, she worked for the Lackawanna Pants Factory and retired from the Pittston Area School District as a custodian.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings, Walter, Pauline, Theresa, and Joseph Scyrba.
She is survived by her sisters, Helen Cace of NJ, Lucy Scyrba of Dupont, and Mary Misencik of Moosic; her brother, John and his wife, Gloria of Dupont and many nieces and nephews.
A mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday February 2nd at 9:30am at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 215 Lackawanna Ave., Dupont with Fr. Thomas Petro officiating. Interment will be held at Sacred Heart Cemetery.
