Arlene Shatrowskas


Arlene Shatrowskas, 37, passed away on Friday, February 3rd at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Hospital. She was born in Duryea, August 16th, 1979 and was the daughter of Daniel Shatrowskas and the late Edna (Anderson) Shatrowskas, who died on December 18th, 2009.

Arlene was a member of the Moosic United Methodist Church. She was a 1997 graduate of Pittston Area High School and a graduate of Luzerne County Community College. Arlene worked as a manager for Burger King, Mt. Top and as a manager for The Wendy’s Corp., Dupont. Her current employment was at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Hospital, Wilkes-Barre working as a PAR specialist in both the Geisinger Heart wing and in the ER. Arlene was a kind, loving, and gentle soul and she will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her father, she is survived by her twin sister, Lori and her husband, Terry Goodreau of MT. Holly Springs, PA; her niece, Madison Goodreau; and nephews TY and Parker Goodreau. Also surviving is her aunt, Arlene Anderson of Duryea.

In addition to her mother, she is preceded in death by her uncle, Donny Anderson.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday morning, February 9th at 11:00am at Kiesinger Funeral Services Inc., 255 McAlpine St., Duryea with Rev. Michael Shambora of the Moosic United Methodist Church, Moosic officiating. Friends may call on Wednesday, February 8th from 5-8pm. Interment will be held at the Marcy Cemetery, Duryea.
