Mary L Ritzie, 87, of Dupont passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Thursday February 16, 2017.
Born in Dupont, she was a daughter of the late Peter and Julia Lazousky. She was a graduate of the former Dupont High School.
She had worked as a waitress for many years but her favorite title was that of a loving wife, mother, grandmother and caring friend to all who knew her. She had been very active in her church community at St Michaels Byzantine Church, Pittston. She had served the church in many capacities and was devoted to her faith.
She is survived by her loving children, Lorriane Swindal and husband Ike, Dover FL, Roderick Ritzie and wife Winnie, Stroudsburg, Patricia Szumski, Dupont, 10 Grandchildren, 12 Great Grandchildren, 3 Great Great granchildrenBrother William Lazowsky, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be held Tuesday at 9:15 AM from Kiesinger Funeral Services, Inc., 255 McAlpine St., Duryea with a Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM in St. Michael's Byzantine Catholic Church, 205 N Main St., Pittston.
Interment will be held in St Michael's Byzantine Cemetery, Pittston.
