Debra “Debby” Demich


Debra “Debby” Demich, 41, of Duryea, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, March 23rd at her home. She was born in Avoca, November 21st, 1975 and was the daughter of the late Matthew “Butch” Demich and Catherine “Kay” Faulkner Demich.

Debbie was a 1994 graduate of Pittston Area High School. She was a former employee of Wesley Village and Interim Home Health, where she took great pride in working and caring for the needs of patients. She had a lot of close friends who were like family to her and she always valued those friendships.

Surviving is her best friend and son, Tyler Matthew Demich, a student at Kings College, who was her world and who will miss her dearly as well as Tyler’s longtime girlfriend, Whitney Prescott, who is part of the family. She is also survived by two sisters, Donna and her husband, Steve Dunn of Pittston and Lisa and her husband, David Derenick of Springbrook as well as five nieces and nephews; Mindy and her husband, Kenny Nestorick, Stephen and Angie Dunn, and Matt and David Derenick, great-nieces and nephews, Haylee, Alexis, and Boe Dunn and Heather Nestorick; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Debra’s family would like to thank extended family and friends who have shown their kindness and support at this difficult time.

Funeral services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.

Arrangements are made by Kiesinger Funeral Services Inc., 255 McAlpine St., Duryea.
