Thomas G. Bauman, 87 ½, died on Thursday June 1st at Hospice of the Sacred Heart, Dunmore. He was born in Duryea December 29th, 1929 and was the son of the late Andrew and Anna (Budzinki) Bauman.
Thomas was a member of Nativity of Our Lord Parish, Duryea. He was a graduate of Duryea High School. After high school, he moved to New Jersey for employment and worked for Safeway Markets. He retired after 38 years of employment. Tom then retired to his family cottage home along the Susquehanna River, in the LaGrange area of Tunkhannock, PA. Thomas was very devoted to his Roman Catholic Faith. He was a loving brother, uncle, and friend and he will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded by his siblings; George, Andrew II, Henry, Johanna, Margaret, and Rita.
He is survived by many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
Due to renovations at Nativity of Our Lord Parish, Duryea, a mass of Christian burial will be held at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 215 Lackawanna Ave., Dupont at 9:30am on Monday June 5th with Fr. John V. Polednak officiating. There will be no procession from the funeral home, family and friends are asked to go directly to the Church. Interment will be held St. John’s Cemetery, Duryea.
