Sharon Klein, 65, of Duryea passed away on August 3rd at the Manor Care Nursing Facility, Kingston after a three year battle with ovarian cancer. She was born in Ohio, July 6th, 1952 and was the daughter of the late Herbie and Lettie (Morrow) Higgins.
Sharon worked for many years at the Meadows Nursing and Rehab center. She was blessed with very good and true friends. Sharon enjoyed being with her family and friends, planning special events, watching good movies, traveling, going on shopping trips, and attending flea markets.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two sisters, Peggy Shaw and Susie Lenhart, both of Rochester, NY and a brother, Fred Mahoney of Oldsmar, FL.
Sharon is survived by her life partner, William (Bill) Janes, two daughters and one son. Her daughter are Melissa Orndorff and her companion, Stacey and Bobie Lunn Janosic and her son is Robert Orndorff. Also surviving is her sister-in-law, Patricia Mahoney of Oldsmar, FL; four grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Sharon also leaves behind many great friends and her beloved pets Shadow and Sidney. She will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her. Rest in Peace, Sharon.
Sharon’s family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff of the Manor Care Nursing Center and the Meadows Nursing and Rehab Center for their kindness, compassion, and care that they have shown to Sharon.
Funeral Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
