Dorothy Heckman, 85, of Moosic, passed away on August 8th, 2017 at Allied Services Skilled Nursing Center. Born in Scranton, December 21, 1931, she was a member of Queen of the Apostles Parish Church, Avoca.
Dorothy was a graduate of the Lackawanna County School of Business. She worked many years for the Scranton Chamber of Commerce. She later worked for Topps Chewing Gum, Duryea. Dorothy left Topps to help out friends as a secretary for Keegan and Associates Abstract Company and later retired from Topps. Dorothy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Dorothy is survived by her husband, Thomas Heckman; her son, Thomas Heckman Jr. and his wife, Catherine of Dupont; her granddaughters, Erica Heckman, Melissa Rice and Michelle Zuerblis; five great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be privately at the convenience of family.
