Richard Kuchinski, 56, of Dupont passed away on Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at Hospice of the Sacred Heart, Dunmore. Born in Dupont February 24th, 1961, he was the son of the late Daniel and Theresa (Casper) Kuchinski.
Richard was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Dupont. He was a graduate of Pittston Area High School. Richard worked many years for Larry Getz Construction Company and was employed by Modern Gas Co. for over 17 years.
He loved the outdoors, hunting, and fishing and enjoyed spending time at his cabin with family and friends. He will be deeply missed by all knew and loved him.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Richard Kuchinski Jr., who died on March 17th, 2016.
Richard is survived by his companion of 21 years, Patricia Bekanich and her son, Sean Sampson; his grandson, Colin; uncles, David and Edwin Kuchinski; and several cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 14th at 9:00am from Kiesinger Funeral Services Inc., 255 McAlpine St., Duryea with a mass of Christian burial at 9:30am at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Lackawanna Ave., Dupont with Fr. Thomas Petro officiating. Friends may call on Sunday evening, August 13th from 5-8pm. Interment will be held at Sacred Heart Cemetery.
