Veronica M. Murphy

Veronica M. Murphy, 82, of Wyoming, passed away into the arms of the Lord on Monday, October 9th at the River Street Manor Nursing Center, Wilkes-Barre. She had lost her long-time battle with Alzheimer’s disease. She was born in Brooklyn, NY February 16, 1935 and was the daughter of the late Anton and Mary (Grezlak) Dymowski.

Veronica was a great mother, always there for her family, in good times and bad. She was our rock. Even though, she could not remember us, we will never forget her. Her beautiful face, smile and laugh will always be in our hearts. You only have one mom and our mom was the most loving, kindest, sweetest mom ever and she will be deeply missed.

In addition to her parents, her husband, Francis J. Murphy precedes her in death as well as her son, Gregory Murphy and her brother, Valentine Dymowski.

She is survived by her children, Jeff Murphy, Wyoming, PA; Peter Murphy, Montreal Canada; Elizabeth Karpavich and husband Tony, Inkerman; Mark Murphy, Duryea; PA; Eugene Murphy, Boston, MA; Mary Berlinski and her husband Joseph, Duryea; and her son Michael Murphy, Inkerman. Also surviving are her brother, Eugene and his wife, Helen of Lancaster, CA; her sister, Genevieve Kulka of NJ; grandchildren, Mark Jr, Francis, Megan, Simone and Natasha; and great-grandson, Tate Murphy.

We would like to thank our brother, Michael Murphy for being there every day for our mother. It was a long illness, over a decade. Michael was with her every step of the way, keeping her comfortable and safe. He would always let her know that she was loved. Thank you, Michael, for your sacrifices.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Arrangements are made by Kiesinger Funeral Services Inc., 255 McAlpine St., Duryea.
