Nancy Klimek


Nancy Klimek, 82, of Dupont, passed away on Thursday, November 2 at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Hospital, Wilkes-Barre. She was born in Dupont, October 8, 1935 and was the daughter of the late Frank and Sally (Walsh) Ketcho.

Nancy was a graduate of Dupont High School. After high school, she worked in the local garment industry, and then was employed by Valley Crest Nursing Facility as a nurse’s aid until her retirement. Nancy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Peter, Fred, and George Ketcho.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Michael Klimek; her daughter, Coleen Lacomis and her husband, Jeff of West Wyoming; grandchildren, Amanda Kowalczyk and her husband, Raymond of Jenkins Twp., Samantha Lacomis, of West Wyoming; her great-granddaughter, Makenzie Lasota; and soon to be great-grandson; and many nieces and nephews.

Nancy’s family would like to thank Dr. Kadir and the staff of Geisinger ICU for their kindness, care, and support they have shown.

A mass of Christian burial will be held at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 215 Lackawanna Ave., Dupont on Friday, November 10th at 11:00am with Fr. Thomas Petro officiating. Interment will be held at the Parish Cemetery.

Arrangements are made by Kiesinger Funeral Services Inc., 255 McAlpine St., Duryea.
