Roberta “Bobby” Thompson, 81 of Avoca, died on Monday, November 6, 2017. She was born in Wyoming and was the daughter of the late Jack Tennant Walsh and Jenny (Lyons) Walsh.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, John “Jack” Thompson, who died in 1974.
Bobby is survived by her loving family, her sister, Claire Blackwell of Moosic; her niece, Mary Jane Vermak and her family; husband, Charles Sr.; son, Charles Jr. and daughter, Belle. Also surviving is her four-legged best friend, Lily.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, November 9th at 1:00pm at Kiesinger Funeral Services Inc., 255 McAlpine St., Duryea with Fr. Phillip Sladicka of Queen of the Apostles Parish, Avoca officiating. Friends may call on Thursday afternoon from 12:00pm until time of services. Interment will be held at the Marcy Cemetery, Duryea.
