Rose Marie Klimek, 78, of Dupont passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, December 28th surrounded by her loving family. Rose Marie was born on July 28, 1939 in Old Forge, daughter of the late Gustino and Edith Santini Tomassoni and was educated in the Old Forge School District.
Rose retired from the Pittston Area School District where she was employed on the custodial staff for seven years. She was a long time member of the former Alter and Rosary Society now the Women’s Society and a faithful worker at the annual Sacred Heart OF Jesus Parish Church Picnic. However, she considered her most important role as wife, mother and helping to raise and care for her grandchildren.
Rose is preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Albert Klimek, who passed away December 25, 2012.
She is survived by her daughter, Donna and husband Jason Karasinski, grandchildren Loreal and Nicholas, step grandchildren Cody, Haley and Kelsey. A brother Eugene Tomassoni and sisters Romilda Bussacco, and Norma Semenza and many nieces and nephews.
Rose’s family would like to thank Dr. Maganiello, his staff and Hospice of the Sacred Heart and her wonderful neighbors for their truly compassionate and most appreciated care they extended to Rose and her family.
A mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday January 2nd at 9:30am at Sacred Heart OF Jesus Church, Lackawanna Ave. Dupont with Fr. Thomas Petro officiating. Interment will take place at the parish cemetery.
