Henry “Hank” Klimek


Henry “Hank” Klimek, 78, of Dupont, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, February 21st 2018 at the Hershey Medical Center, Hershey. He was born in Dupont, March, 25, 1939 and was the son of the late George and Anna (Soy) Klimek.

Hank was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Dupont. He attended Sacred Heart Parochial School and Dupont High School. He joined the US Army and served during Vietnam War era. Hank was the owner and operator of Hank’s Auto in Dupont for over 40 years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and was a life-time member of the AMVET Honor Guard of Greater Pittston and a member of the Panther Hill Club of Dupont.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Cynthia (Kishel) Klimek, who died September 2, 2014 and his brother Albert Klimek.

Hank is survived by his son, Henry Jr. of Dupont, his brother Edwin and his wife Carolyn of Dupont, and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 24 at 9:30am from Kiesinger Funeral Services Inc., 255 McAlpine St., Duryea with a mass of Christian burial at 10:00am at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Lackawanna Ave., Dupont with Fr. Thomas Petro officiating. Friends may call on Friday evening, February 23rd from 5-8pm. Interment will be held at the parish cemetery. AMVETS Honor Guard of Greater Pittston will provide Military Honors.
