James Gardner, 48, of Dallas and formerly of Pittston died on Wednesday April 18th. He was born in Pittston on March, 25, 1970 and was the son of the late Martin and Bernice (Chmiel) Gardner.
James was a 1988 graduate of Pittston Area High School and a graduate of Wilkes University. He was employed as a Network Engineer for Cisco Systems, Inc.
James will be remembered for his infectious laugh and smile—the joy he brought to parties and gatherings and the kindness of his spirit. Generous and open-hearted, he will be missed by those who knew and loved him, especially his children, whom he loved beyond measure.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Francis.
James is survived by his wife of 16 years, the former Jennifer Ghannam Gardner; his children, Madelyn and Derrick; brothers, Patrick, Martin Jr., and David; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, April 24th at 11:00am at St. Therese’s Parish Church, 64 Davis St., Shavertown with Fr. Jim Paisley officiating. Friends may call at the church from 10am until time of mass.
