Irene Kasperunas Cimakosky, 92 of Duryea, passed away on June 28th at the Celtic Hospice Geisinger South, Wilkes-Barre. She was born in Duryea on December 3rd, 1925 and was the daughter of the late Martin and Margaret (Swingle) Kasperunas.

Irene was a member of Nativity of Our Lord Parish Church, Duryea. She was a graduate of Duryea High School and she retired as a seamstress from Lee Manufacturing, Pittston.
Irene was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Albert Cimakosky, who passed away May 13th, 2013. She is also preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her daughters, Dr. Diane C. Rigotti DMD and her husband Dr. Joseph Rigotti DO of Horsham and daughter Paula Boyko and her husband Joseph P. Boyko Sr. of Duryea. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Katie and Andrew Rigotti, Nick Ward and his wife Dianna, and Lauren Ward her great- grandson Carter James Ward, her sister Francis Kachinsky of Old Forge, and many nieces and nephews.

A mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, July 2nd at 11:00am at Nativity of Our Lord Parish Church, Stephenson St., Duryea with Fr. John Poldenak officiating. Interment will be held at St. Casmir’s Cemetery, Pittston.
