Nancy T. Pasquariello Chlipala


Nancy T. Pasquariello Chlipala, 91, passed away peacefully on July 3rd at Linwood Nursing and Rehab, Scranton. Formerly from Dupont and Mountain Lake, Nancy was born on July 8th, 1926 to Louis and Margaret Manganiello Pasquariello and was the wife of the late Stanley J. Chlipala who passed in 1997.

Nancy was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Dupont and was a graduate of Dupont High School and Wilkes-Barre Business College. She was formerly employed by Pasquariello and Son, owned and operated Stanley’s Bar, Avoca with her husband, and retired from the federal government, Social Security Administration after 20 years of service. Nancy was an avid bowler and she enjoyed travel and her card club friends. She also was the president of the Dupont Senior Citizens organization.

Nancy is survived by her daughter Debra Lokuta and son Stanley Mark Chipala and his wife Marian; her grandchildren Jay and Megan Lokuta, Cory and Kevin Chlipala; and great-grandchildren Averi Chlipala and Grayson Lokuta.

Family would like to thank the staff at Linwood Nursing and Rehab for their years of care and kindness as well as the staff from Compassionate Care Hospice, Taylor.

Funeral services will be held on Friday morning, July 6th at 10:30am from Kiesinger Funeral Services, Inc., 255 McAlpine St., Duryea. Due to renovations at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Dupont a mass of Christian burial will be held at Sacred Heart of Jesus Cemetery Chapel located on the corner of Lackawanna Ave. and Pine St. in Dupont at 11:00am with Fr. Thomas Petro officiating. Friends may call Friday morning, July 6th from 9:30am until time of service. Interment will be held at the parish cemetery.
