Aloysius L. Exter, 64, of Duryea, formerly of Dupont, passed away on Thursday, August 16th at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Dupont on July 21st, 1954 and was the son of the late Aloysius and Jean (Golembiewski) Exter.
Al attended Pittston Area High School. He worked most of his life as a truck driver and a truck and auto mechanic. Al was a very kind and simple man who enjoyed his life, his family and his friends. He enjoyed listening to music, taking long rides in his car, and was an avid NASCAR fan. He also enjoyed spending time with his friends at Danny’s Auto in Dupont. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his sister, Eve and her husband James Corcoran of Avoca and his brother Kevin Exter and his wife Jill Satkowski Exter of Dupont. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be privately held at the convenience of the family.
