Beverly Gardner


Beverly Gardner, 73, of Duryea passed away surrounded by her family on Friday morning, September 28th at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Hospital, Wilkes-Barre. She was born in Morristown, NJ and was the daughter of the late Leroy and Ruth Benjamin.

Beverly was a homemaker with a passion and talent like no other for sewing and crocheting. Beverly lived most of her life in Lackawanna County until moving to Duryea with her daughter and son-in-law. She loved her dog, Belle and cat, Binks more than life itself.

In addition to her parents, Beverly was preceded in death by her husband of 32 years, Lloyd W. Gardner, and a son Richard Parry.

She is survived by a loving daughter, Candy and her husband Tony Arcuri, with whom she resided; two sons, Harry Gardner and wife Jennifer of Scranton and Brad Dutter of Scranton; two grandchildren, Lexi and Harry Gardner, Jr.; and brother Leroy Benjamin and his wife Peggy of Moscow.

There will be a private funeral at the family’s convenience.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Griffin Pond Animal Shelter, 967 Griffin Pond Rd., Clarks Summit, PA 18411 in Beverley’s name.

Arrangements are made by Kiesinger Funeral Services, Inc., 255 McAlpine St., Duryea.
