Anna (Runski) Judge


Anna (Runski) Judge, 92, of Duryea, passed away on Monday, October 8, 2018 at Allied Skilled Nursing Center, Scranton. She was born in Duryea on August 11, 1926 and was the daughter of the late John and Mary (Bartuska) Runski.

Anna was a member of Nativity of Our Lord Parish Church, Duryea. She was a graduate of Duryea High School. Anna worked for the Swanee Paper Mill and retired from Topps Chewing Gum. She enjoyed spending time with her friends from the Duryea Senior Citizens, Moosic Senior Citizens and the Pittston Senior Citizens. Anna was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Edward W.Judge, who died in 1964; her son Edward J. Judge, Sr.; her sisters Marie Chilek, Evelyn Zongilla, Claire Beckley, Martha Haduck, and Katherine Kotula; and her brothers John and Henry Runski.

Anna is survived by her daughter Cheryl Goul and her husband Francis, of Duryea; grandchildren, Heather Hiller and husband Brian, Holly Judge, Edward Judge and his wife Jamie, Krystle Miller and Johnna Miller her great-grandchildren Michael and Connor Hiller, Hunter Miller and Jacob Fine and many nieces and nephews.

Anna’s family would like that the staff of Allied Skilled Nursing Home and Dr. Rubin for their care and compassion during Anna’s illness.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 12th at 9:30am from Kiesinger Funeral Services, Inc., 255 McAlpine St., Duryea with a mass of Christian burial at 10:00am at Nativity of Our Lord Parish, 127 Stephenson St., Duryea with Fr. John Polednak officiating. Friends may call on Thursday, October 11th from 5pm-8pm. Interment will be held at St. John’s Cemetery, Duryea.
