John Angelo Gazey, 70, died peacefully at Allied Hospice in Scranton on November 3rd, 2018 after a battle with pancreatic cancer.
Born November 20th, 1947 to parents Abraham and Grace, John grew up in Wilkes-Barre, PA and graduated from E.L. Meyers High School in 1967. After serving in the US Army, John worked various jobs throughout his life, most of which were as a mechanic or in the automotive industry where he continued to developed a love for cars that started in high school. This passion continued and was evident in his vast collection of die cast models.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Joe and the love of his life for 45 years, his wife, Loretta.
He will be forever remembered and missed by his loving sons, Timothy Gazey of Telford, Jeffery and his wife Kelly Gazey of Hughestown, and his only grandchild, Gianna, who lit up his world.
The family, through Kiesinger Funeral Services, Inc. in Duryea made private arrangements for burial at Memorial Shrine Cemetery in Wyoming.
