Wayne Albert Rychleski


Wayne Albert Rychleski, 62, of Wilkes-Barre passed away on Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at Hospice of the Sacred Heart, Dunmore surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with cancer.

Wayne was born November 25, 1955 in Pittston and was the son of the late Joseph W. and Lois Moore Tressa. He attended Pittston Area High School.

Prior to his retirement, he managed the Casey House in Wilkes-Barre where he devoted his time to help people suffering from addiction become and stay sober. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He also enjoyed politics and was a devoted Dallas Cowboy Fan.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Frieda Helen Rychleski.

Surviving are his children, Christine Rychleski and companion, Rich Carmen (Pittston), Cherie Rychleski and companion, James Wardell (Pittston), and Eric Rychleski (Wilkes-Barre); grandchildren, Kerstin Rychleski, Megan Carmen, Zoey Astels, Evan Astels, Isbella Rychleski and Areil Wardell; his sister, Sandra Littzi and husband Charles (Pittston); brother George Tressa and wife, Lee Ann (Ashley); step-brothers, Edward Tressa and wife, Florence (Coxton), Joseph Tressa and wife, Debbie (Swoyersville), Richard Tressa and wife, Terry (Swoyersville); step-sister, Rosemary Pugh and husband, John (Kingston); and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the staff at Hospice of the Sacred Heart for the loving care that they provided.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday evening, November 10 at 7pm at Kiesinger Funeral Services, Inc., 255 McAlpine St., Duryea. Friends may call on Saturday evening from 4-7pm.
