Michael Prebish, 60, of Dupont passed away on Thursday, November 8, 2018 at his home. He was born in Dupont, November 25, 1957 and was the son of Theresa (Slazyk) Prebish and the late Michael Prebish.
Michael was a member of St. Michael’s Byzantine Catholic Church, Pittston. He was a 1975 graduate of Pittston Area High School and attended Johnson Technical School, Scranton. Michael retired from UPS after 41 years of employment.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his children; Michael of Pittston and Nichole Prebish and her companion Peter Chodnicki of Pittston; his grandson Jaidin Morgans; and siblings, John and his wife Marijo of Plymouth, Debbie Pupa and her husband Francis of Pittston Twp., Kenneth of Pittston Twp., Richard and his wife Marlene of Wilkes-Barre, Mark and his wife Kathleen, of Duryea, and Donna Nash and her husband Bob of Midlothian, VA. Also surviving are his ex-wife, Bernice Prebish and many nieces and nephews.
Parastas services will be held on Tuesday evening, November 13 at 5pm at Kiesinger Funeral Services, Inc., 255 McAlpine St., Duryea with Fr. Gary Messinger of St. Michael’s Byzantine Catholic Church, Pittston officiating. Friends may call for visitation on Tuesday evening from 5-8pm.
