Christopher W. Buckley, 55, of Moosic passed away on Wednesday, November 21,, 2018 at Geisinger CMC Hospital, Scranton. He was born in Scranton, July 13, 1963 and was the son of William Buckley and the late Dolores (Biga) Buckley.
Chris was a member of Queen of the Apostles Parish Church, Avoca. He was a 1981 graduate of Riverside High School and a graduate of Lackawanna County Junior College. Chris was employed by the US Postal Service for over 30 years. He was an avid sports fan and a true family man. He was a loving father, son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
In addition to his dad, Chris is survived by his children, Ryan Buckley, Megan Buckley and Kristen Buckley all of Dickson City; his sister, Amy Tini and her husband Joe of Archbald; and his brother Kevin Buckley of Moosic. Also surviving are his nieces and nephew, Kayla and Ashley Buckley and Amanda, Maura, and Joe Tini.
A mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, November 24th at 10:00am at Queen of the Apostles Parish Church, 715 Hawthorne St., Avoca with Fr. Phillip Sladicka officiating. Interment will be held at SS Peter and Paul Cemetery, Avoca.
