David P. Bartnikiewcz, 62, of Duryea, passed away December 10, 2018 at Hospice of the Sacred Heart, Dunmore. He was born in Scranton, June 18, 1956 and was the son of the late Zigmund and Florence (Snarski) Bartnikiewcz.
After high school, David graduated from Johnson College (Technical Institute) as an automotive tech. He worked as a mechanic for 38 years at Altec Industries, Inc. and its predecessor Stirling, Inc.
David was an avid NASCAR fan and loved all things automotive. He loved the outdoors and fishing. He was an exceptional cook on the barbeque. He was a can-do guy and was dedicated to taking care of his home and autos. His greatest joy was the loving care he lavished on his family, pets, and friends. He will be greatly missed.
David is preceded in death by his brother Joseph Bartnikiewcz, his grandmother Bertha Snarski, and his sister-in-law Janet O'Connor.
He is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Marlene Menze, his brother Paul Bartnikiewcz and wife Nancy, Old Forge and his nephew Brian Bartnikiewcz, Scranton. He is also survived by his beloved four-legged furry friends, Clancy and Jasmine.
Funeral services will be private.
