Judith A. (Ball) Gordon


Judith A. (Ball) Gordon, 61, of Avoca, passed away on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Hospital, Plains Twp. She was born in Scranton, October 1, 1957 and was the daughter of the late Ralph and Rose Cambra Ball.

Judith was a 1976 graduate of Scranton Tech High School and Lackawanna County Jr. College. She worked for National Book, Price Chopper, Kingston and Pizza L’ Oven, Exeter. She was an avid sports fan and enjoyed playing softball and was a board member of the Pittston City Little League association. Judith was a competitive artistic roller skater having competed in several local and national roller-skating competitions. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Alan Gordon, her sons Alan AJ Gordon and his companion Brittany Knorr, Avoca, and James and his wife Leah, of Plains also surviving are his grandchildren Jaylan and Konnor Gordon and her four Labrador Retrievers; Daisy, Buddy, Hondo and Luna.

Memorial services will be held on Thursday, January 24th at 7:30pm at Kiesinger Funeral Services, Inc., 255 McAlpine St., Duryea with Fr. Phillip Sladicka of Queen of The Apostles Parish Church, Avoca officiating. Friends may for visitation from 5pm until time of service.
