Evelyn Louise Vargo (Coyne), 71, formerly of Pittston, known as Mom, Mema, Grandma, Eve or Evie by her friends and family, passed away on November 20, 2018 at River Run Rehab and Nursing, Kingston.
She was born in Pittston on January 27, 1947, to the late Robert and Emily Coyne of Pittston. She attended Pittston Area High School and worked in the garment industry before becoming a homemaker.
Evelyn is survived by her two children: Donna Franciosa and husband, William, of Concord, North Carolina and Andy Vargo and fiancé, Donna Henry, of Kingston. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Robert and Lorrie Graham, Alexa and Amelia Vargo and Michael and Dana Henry. She was expecting her first great-grandchild, Athena Lea Graham, who is to be born to her grandson Robert Graham and his fiancé Samantha Gredell, in March of 2019. Evelyn is also survived by her siblings, Carol Banellis of Falls, Ann Marie Matrunich of Pittston, and Richard Coyne of Pittston, as well as her many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers Harry Coyne and Robert Coyne.
A celebration of life will be held on January 27th 2019, Evelyn’s Birthday, at the Jenkins Township Fire Department, 2 2nd Street, Jenkins Township, from 10am to 2pm.
Interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
