Philomena (Faye) Renfer, 93, of Pittston Twp. entered into eternal life on Tuesday, January 29 surrounded by her loving family at Wesley Village.
Born on March 20, 1925, in Dupont, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Mary (Bialek) Cislo. She was preceded in death by husband of 63 years, Ralph Renfer. Also preceding her were brothers Alexander and Edward.
Faye was a graduate of Dupont High School. She was a life member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Dupont and a member of its former alter and rosary society.
Faye was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who enjoyed cooking, baking, shopping and having her family together for holidays.
Surviving are sons John and his wife, Amy, Pittston Twp. and Edward and his wife Laura, Londonderry, NH. She is also survived by granddaughter LorieAnn and husband Christopher Carmody, grandsons John and wife Tracey, Michael and wife Melissa, Edward and wife Grace, Jason and wife Jodie and David Renfer and step-grandsons David and wife Madison, and Kevin Mokos. Faye also has 3 great-granddaughters and 4 great-grandsons as well as many nieces and nephews.
Faye’s family would like to thank the staff at Wesley Village, where she received the most amazing loving care. Also, the family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Mauer Biscotti for his kindness, care, and compassion over the years.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at 9:30am from Kiesinger Funeral Services, Inc., 255 McAlpine St., Duryea with a mass of Christian burial at 10:00am at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Dupont with Fr. Thomas Petro officiating. Friends may call on Friday evening, February 1st from 5-8pm. Interment will be held at the parish cemetery.
