Adam Peter Rafalko, Jr., a resident of Dupont, entered into eternal rest on Friday April 3, 2026, at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Hospital, surrounded by his loving family after a brief illness.

Born in Scranton on October 4, 1951, he was the son of the late Adam and Dorothy (Ruselevitch) Rafalko. He graduated from Dunmore High School and went on to take culinary classes at LCCC. Adam worked as a chef at Mercy Hospital in Scranton until his retirement.
Adam's faith and family were the center of his life. He was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Dupont. Adam never missed an opportunity to share his great sense of humor with his family. He loved to poke fun and tell jokes. He would always end up being the life of the party when we were able to drag him out. He was a devoted husband and father and everything he did was for his family.
In addition to his parents and in-laws (Edward and Frances Milewski), Adam was preceded in death by his brothers Richard and Robert, his sister Roxanne Poplawski, as well as a brother- in- law Bill Copeland, nephew Kevin Milewski, and great nephew Logan Bennett. We know he was welcomed with open arms.
Surviving are his wife of 42 years, Christine (Milewski) and children, Jennifer, Adam, Elizabeth, Kathleen (Rick Becker) and Karen, as well as his sisters Pamela Rafalko; Debra Kane and husband Paul; Gail Musewicz and husband John; Patricia Copeland; and sister-in-law Debbie Rafalko, as well as numerous nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Friday April 10, 2026, in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 215 Lackawanna Ave., Dupont. Family and friends are asked to go directly to the church the morning of the Mass.
Interment will be in the Sacred Heart of Jesus Cemetery, Dupont.
Family and friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday April 9, 2026, at Kiesinger Funeral Services, 255 McAlpine St., Duryea.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Adam's name to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. #Rafalko
Chris and Family, I am so very sorry to hear of Adam’s passing. I’m grateful I was able to see him several months ago. I will always remember our time together working at the “Mercy”. Adam was a hard worker and had a quiet kindness about him. May you find peace knowing he is at rest. God bless🙏
