Andrew J. Cebula, 91, formerly of Avoca, passed away on Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at Wesley Village Nursing Center, Pittston. He was born in Dupont, November 3, 1929 and was the son of the late Stanley Sr. and Helen (Karkut) Cebula.
Andrew was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Dupont. He was a 1948 graduate of Dupont High School. Andy joined the United States Air Force in 1950 and served during the Korean War until he was discharged in 1956. He retired from Kerr McGee Corp., Avoca after many years of employment. He was a member of the Polish National Union of America, the VFW Post 4909, Dupont and the Dupont Polish Club.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothersStanley, Jr. and John Cebula and his sister Mary Koytek.
He is survived by his sister Rosalie Dudeck, of Plains
and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
A mass of Christian burial will be privately held at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Dupont with committal services at Sacred Heart Cemetery.
