Ann L. (Cavello) Rooney, 74, of West Pittston, passed away on December 20, 2021, at the home of her daughter Barbara Weaver. She was born in Exeter on February 16, 1947 and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Louise (Venetz) Cavello.
Ann Attended Exeter schools. She worked as a floral designer and arranger for many years having been employed for California Flowers, West Pittston and Flowers R US, Pittston. She retired from Eddyleon Chocolate Company, Moosic after many years of employment.
Ann enjoyed bowling and was a diehard bingo player. She would play as often as she could. She especially enjoyed spending her time with her children, grandchildren, and brothers and sisters. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Eugene Rooney, who died May 23, 2019.
Ann is survived by her children, Barbara Weaver, with whom she resided, Richard Rooney and his wife Kim of Duryea, and Eugene Rooney and his wife Mindy, of West Pittston, grandchildren, Rebecca Kane, Brett Rooney and Victoria Rooney
and her great-grandson, Mason Kane. Also surviving are her siblings, Rosemary Golenski, of Pittston, Joseph Cavello, of Exeter, Michael Cavello, of Exeter and Gloria Kolbeck, of Exeter and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday evening, December 26th. Friends may call for visitation on Sunday from 5-7pm at Kiesinger Funeral Services, Inc., 255 McAlpine St., Duryea.
