Ann Marie (Crispino) O’Hop, 86, of Avoca, passed away on December 6, 2025, at St. Mary’s Villa, Elmhurst. Born in Scranton on January 9, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Anna (Malachowski) Crispino.
Ann Marie was a past member of SS Peter and Paul Church and was currently a member of Queen of the Apostles Parish. She was a graduate of South Catholic High School, Scranton, class of 1956. In her younger years, she was employed by Aureus embroidery and Ace Cleaners, West Pittston.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Richard J. O’Hop, who passed away May 25, 2024. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Josephine Georgalis and Lois Crispino.
She is survived by her children: Richard of Old Forge; Julie Daczka and her husband, David, of Madison Twp.; Thomas O’Hop and his wife, Rose, of Hughestown; and Lori Sherinsky and her husband, Richard, of Dupont. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 12, 2025, at 10:00am from Kiesinger Funeral Services, Inc., 255 McAlpine St., Duryea, with a mass of Christian burial held at 10:30am at St. Mary’s Church (Queen of The Apostles Parish), 715 Hawthorne St., Avoca, with Fr. Thomas Petro, officiating.
Friends may call for visitation on Friday morning, December 12, from 9:00am until time of mass. Interment will be held at SS Peter and Paul Cemetery, Avoca.
