Ann “Nancy” Mullery Musto

Ann “Nancy” Mullery Musto, 90, of Dupont, passed away on Friday, January 6, 202,3 at Hospice of the Sacred Heart, Dunmore. She was born in Avoca on February 25, 1932 and was the daughter of the late Daniel and Katherine Lynott Mullery.

Nancy was a member of Queen of the Apostles Parish Church, Avoca. She was a 1949 graduate of Avoca High School and was class valedictorian. She retired after many years of service from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Department of Justice and was employed as an executive assistant for the Bureau of Drug Control.


Nancy lived a magnificent life. She loved to travel and lived her life to the fullest. She was loved by so many and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.


In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband Frank Petritis and second husband Dominick Musto; her son Frank M. Petritis; grandson Rob Rice; sister Mary Marriggi; and brother Jack Mullery.


She is survived by her daughters, Catherine Rice and her husband Robert of Avoca, Patty Sklanka, of Avoca, and Mary Beth Cassidy and her husband Larry of Uninodale, PA. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Brian Bechtold and his wife Mary, Sara Zelinski and husband Eric, Ricky Davis, Rachael Zeilerand and husband Matt, Kimberly Wells, Rebecca Hogle, Brandy Stone and Larry Cassidy; her great grandchildren Nora and Connor Bechtold, Charlotte and Emma Zelinski and Paige Zeiler; and several nieces and nephews.


In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family of Ann “Nancy” Musto to be distributed to Ann’s favorite donation organizations.


A mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, January 11, 2023, at 11:30am at Queen of the Apostles Parish Church, 715 Hawthorne St., Avoca with Fr. August Ricciardi officiating. Friends may call for visitation at the church on Wednesday morning, January 11th from 10am until time of mass.


Arrangements are made by Kiesinger Funeral Services, Inc., 255 McAlpine St., Duryea.
