Barbara J. Dolman

Barbara J. Dolman, 77, of Dupont, passed away on Sunday, September 27, 2026, at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Hospital in Wilkes-Barre. Born in Dupont, she was the daughter of the late John and Virginia (Feano) Dolman.

Barbara was a graduate of Northeast High School, Class of 1967, and a former member of Full Gospel Church in Avoca. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Wilkes University and her master’s degree in education, with a specialization in reading, from the University of Scranton. Barbara devoted 33 years to teaching in the Hanover Area School District before retiring. She was also the co-owner of After School Phonics, an educational testing and remedial center, with her dear friend of 40 years, Mary Ann.

Barbara had a passion for travel and fine food and explored destinations around the world — from Europe to Africa. Above all, she treasured time spent with her family and friends. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Barbara is survived by her sisters, Patricia Belles and her husband, Kevin, of Shickshinny, PA; and Gale Tetlak and her husband, Stephen, of Lakeland, FL; her nephew and nieces, Joey Angrisano and his wife, Billie; Sarah Tompkins and her husband, Duane; and Amanda Fay and her husband, Mike; her great-nephew, Aedan Tompkins; and her great-nieces, Julia Angrisano, Lydia Tompkins, and Maggie Fay.

Friends may call for visitation on Thursday, October 1, 2026, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Kiesinger Funeral Services Inc., 255 McAlpine St., Duryea. A private memorial service will be held on Friday morning, October 2, 2026. Interment will follow at Marcy Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made toward final expenses, in care of Kiesinger Funeral Services Inc.
