Brenda Gallagher Vischansky

Brenda Gallagher Vischansky, 52, of Pittston, passed away on Tuesday October 15, 2024, at The Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.  She was born in Pittston, January 12, 1972, and was the daughter of the late James and Sara “Maryann” McDonald Gallagher.


Brenda was a member of St. Joseph Marello Parish Church, Pittston.  A graduate of Pittston Area High School, class of 1989, then she attended Luzerne County Community College. 

Brenda was a devoted customer service manager at Keystone Auto for over 18 years, where she met her best friend, Dana.  She loved her team as if they were her own daughters and sisters.

 

Brenda loved her shoes with a collection of over 275 pairs of shoes.  She never wore the same shoe in a two-week period.  She loved her family time of cornhole and bowling on Sundays.  She also enjoyed traveling to her happy place in San Diego, California where she someday wanted to retire.

 

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother Joseph Gallagher.

 

Brenda is survived by her husband of 10 years William Vischansky, her children Kayla and her husband David Wallace of West Pittston, TJ and his wife Cali Serafin, of Westminster, MD and Matthew Kavinski, of Pittston.  Also surviving are her grandchildren, Briella, Taylor, Audriana, Aedan, Madison, and Declan, her siblings, Diane and her husband Mark Buckley, of Pittston and Michael and Betty King, of Maryland, her sister-in-law Neva Gallagher, of Pittston, her stepsister, Janine, her sidekick throughout her cancer treatment Mariah, her grandogs Dunkan, Dallas and Stella and several nieces and nephews.

 

A mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday October 25, 2024, at 9:30am at St. Joseph Marello Parish Church, 237 William St. Pittston, with Fr. Joseph Elston officiating.  Friends may call for visitation on Thursday evening October 24, 2024, from 5pm-8pm at Kiesinger Funeral Services. Inc., 255 McAlpine St., Duryea. 


Family and friends are asked to go directly to the church on Friday morning, there will be no procession from the funeral home.  Interment will be held at St. Rocco’s Cemetery, Pittston.
