Carmella C. (Caltigirone) Dessoye, 84, of West Wyoming passed away on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at the Highland Manor Nursing Home where she was a resident. She was born in West Wyoming on January 19, 1936 and was the daughter of the late Vincent and Helen (DeGobba) Caltigirone.
Carmella was a member of St. Monica’s Parish Church, West Wyoming. She was a graduate of West Wyoming High School and attended Luzerne County Community College. She was employed for several years as a nurse’s aide and retired from Valley Crest Nursing facility, Wilkes-Barre. She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, West Wyoming.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Dessoye, who died in 1988.
She is survived by her brother Anthony Caltigirone and his wife Dolores, of Dupont; her niece Lisa Petch and her husband Edward; her nephew Mark
Caltigirone and his wife Deborah; and great nieces and nephews, Courtney, Hanna, Jordon, Evan, Atlas and Serenity Caltigirone.
A mass of Christian burial will be privately held at St. Monica’s Parish Church, West Wyoming with interment at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
Arrangements are made by Kiesinger Funeral Services, Inc., 255 McAlpine St., Duryea.

Carmella was a dedicated and loyal member of the Fraternal Order of the EAGLES. She will be sadly missed. She is now in heaven with Tom. May the Lord keep them in the palm of his hand. Rest in Peace..
